Lew Baxter has worked worldwide as an author, editor and journalist, including a number of years in China where he worked for the Xinhua News Agency and the China International Publishing Group, and as editorial advisor to the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At one stage he was also bureau chief of Philips Publishing, a US media group, and later Sino Media Limited, both based in Beijing.

He is Editor-at-Large of Sino Creative Associates and Shanachie Publishing and the editorial director for the China Photos project.

His books include ‘Urban Reflections’, a focus on global cities; the UNESCO inspired ‘World Heritage City’; ‘The Icebreakers’, commemorating more than 50 years of Sino-UK relations; and the ‘Bond of Friendship’, celebrating UK-China relations.
